The experienced Orthodontist Panel at  Blue Dental will guide you through proper diagnosis and treatment planning.

Why do I need braces?
The assumption is that braces are all about giving the patient perfectly straight teeth. While this is one of the main aims of wearing them, it is not the only objective. Improperly arranged teeth stands as a causative for excessive tartar accumulation, smelly mouth, bleeding gums, improper bite and jaw pain. In few of the cases, it may even lead to headaches and problems with chewing and speaking, if left untreated. Some of the benefits of undergoing orthodontic treatment are:

  • Braces-aligns the teeth
  • Improves the hygiene of the mouth by preventing gum issues and cavity formations
  • Prevents unnecessary jaw problems
  • Improves speech ability
How do braces work?
Braces have constant pressure which, over time, moves teeth into the desired positions.
What is a good age for wearing braces?
You can get the benefits from orthodontic treatments at any age but an ideal age for braces is between 10 and 14 years of age. At this age all the permanent teeth would have erupted and also because the mouth is still growing, so the tissues are more malleable and flexible than they would be in an adult. This makes the treatment process more easier and faster than would be in an adult.
Can adults also undergo braces treatment?

There is for this kind of corrective treatment. You can use braces to correct misaligned teeth at any age, just so long as your teeth, gums and bones are reasonably strong. This is because pressure will be applied to move the teeth. Naturally, you need to have tough, robust, and flexible gum tissue that is able to bounce back if you want to wear braces.
