Crowns and Bridges are the most usual dental restorative work. Crowns are essentially tooth-shaped caps that are cemented over an existing tooth to improve its shape, size, strength and appearance. When do I need them?
  • Crowns – They are cemented when the tooth is severely decayed, attrited (worn out), broken or when the tooth has undergone root canal treatment.
  • Bridges – They are commonly used to cover a space if you’re missing one or more teeth. They are cemented to existing teeth surrounding the space of the missing teeth.
How long do they last?
They can last a lifetime. However good oral hygiene and regular dental checkups must be practiced to ensure their longevity.
What kinds of materials are used for crowns and bridges?
